War Memorial in Lawnswood Cemetery

War memorial. c1920. Portland stone and bronze. In 3 parts:
octagonal plinth and chamfered cross approx 4m high, overlaid
by a bronze sword. Behind, to N, a screen wall approx 10m long
and 1.5m high, the deeply-chamfered coping incised: 'THEIR
NAME LIVETH FOR EVER MORE'. On the wall are fastened 16 bronze
panels with floriate cross and lists of names of the killed in
World War I. A second low wall to the E has the names of those
killed in World War II.
