House, now offices. 1785-1794 with late C19 alterations. By
William Hargrave. Red brick, Flemish bond, slate roof. 3
storeys, 5 windows wide. Central door, now a window, in
moulded architrave with flat hood supported by consoles.
Plate-glass sashes throughout, painted flat arches, sill band
at 1st floor, 2nd-floor window heads raised to eaves.
Modillion eaves cornice.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
William Hargrave built at least 14 houses in Park Place as
part of the development of the Wilson estate as homes and
workshops for gentleman merchants moving from the medieval
centre of the town.
