Two houses, now one dwelling. Mid C17 with C19 alterations;
converted to one dwelling c1953, with further alterations.
Timber-framed, rendered and colourwashed in panels; roofs
thatched in water reed with brick stacks. L-shaped on plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey and dormer attic; 3-window front. To
right of centre, 6-panel door with glazed upper panels,
approached by 2 steps, in gabled porch. One late C19 2-light
small-pane casement window to right and left; at far left, one
early C19 8/8 unhorned sash. Gabled dormer has C20 2-light
casement. External gable-end stack to right end. Single-storey
rear wing has axial stack.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but 1993 survey decribes chamfered
bridging beams in 2 rooms. Upper floor in rear wing has wide
oak floorboards and oak joists. Evidence of fairly heavy
frame, nearly all concealed. C19 newel stair in rear wing. An
internal stack in front range removed mid C20.
