Baptist chapel. 1828. Red brick under hipped roof of concrete
pantiles.
EXTERIOR: single storey. Rectangular on plan with corners
articulated by clasping pilasters. South return with
double-leaf panelled door within panelled reveals and a
doorcase of reeded and bowed pilasters. Dentil cornice and
flat hood. Either side is one 6/6 unhorned sash under gauged
skewback arches. Datestone over door immediately below a
half-round window with radial glazing bars. West return with 2
recessed arched niches, each containing a fixed 12-paned
window with an opening 12-paned upper section. Door and one
small window towards north end.
INTERIOR: panelled galleries to north and south, the latter
supported on cast-iron columns. Both galleries closed off and
with C20 suspended ceilings. Polygonal pulpit with trefoiled
arcading. Running north-south below central aisle is a total
immersion font.
