Boathouse. 1877. By TM Lockwood. For the Grosvenor Rowing
Club, probably at expense of the first Duke of Westminster.
Timber frame with brick nogging and plaster panels; brick;
brown tile roof.
2 storeys. Verandah on vigorously moulded turned corner-post
right, 2 slender intermediate columns of cast-iron and small
timber-framed stair-well, left. 3 sets of boarded doors, 2
with hit-and-miss timber vents to boathouse. Balcony with 4
heavily-moulded turned posts; timber rails. Large jettied
front gable with canted oriel to attic. The right end is
partly framed, partly brick; the rear is brick.
