Shop and former living accommodation now upper showroom and
storage. c1830, altered. Lined stucco on brick to front;
English garden wall bond brown brick to rear; grey slate roof,
ridge parallel with street, not visible from the front.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys. The lower storey comprises Music Hall
Passage, south, described under No.28 Street (qv) which was
joined for a period with No.30, a shopfront with plain glazed
door and shop window; a fluted pilaster at corner of the
passage and a narrower pilaster at north end of shopfront. The
second storey has 2 nearly flush sashes with glazing bars
removed from the lower leaf and 8 panes to upper leaf. The
third storey has 2 flush unequal sashes of 12 panes and a
parapet with moulding beneath stone coping.
The rear, partly concealed, had two 12-pane flush sashes to
each upper storey; on the second storey the south sash has
lower glazing bars removed and the north sash is blocked; on
the third storey the south sash has bars removed and the north
sash is intact.
INTERIOR: partition walls removed from second storey; C20
stair; the third storey has floor plan intact, but no features
of special note.
