Farmhouse. Early C17. Timber framed with modern cement render; roof
plaintiled to front and pantiled to rear. 2 storeys and attic. A main range
with slightly projecting cross wing to the right. Mid C20 casement windows.
The main range has 2 good C17 dormers with pierced drop finials to the gables;
the dormer windows are mid C20 copies of the originals. Fine internal stack
with 4 detached octagonal flues with bulbous moulded brick bases and
protruding pointed bricks at the corners; the flues have been reduced in
height. Originally lobby entry: a new red brick entrance porch on the left
hand gable end was under construction at the time of survey. The interior has
exposed framing; moulded storey posts in one ground floor room; 2 blocked
ovolo-moulded mullioned windows on the first floor.
