Anonymous obelisk. C18. Portland stone. Tall obelisk on tapering sarcophagus on base. Sarcophagus with gadrooned middle course supporting weathered armorial cartouches. Its patron is unidentified. Located on south side of gardens, in former burial ground of St George the Martyr. One of the largest and most imposing outdoor monuments in any London churchyard.
