Monument to Eliza Vaughan, d.1858. Designed by Joseph Edwards. Giant marble statue of Religion: draped woman standing on rock, holding Bible in left hand and with right hand on breast. Joseph Edwards is buried nearby.

HISTORICAL NOTE: Mrs Vaughan was the wife of a clergyman. This memorial was widely known in its day through engravings.
