Pair of houses, No.70 now a shop. Probably later C18, altered
in C19. Handmade brown brick mostly in English garden wall
bond, slate roof. Double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. No.68 to the right has a
doorway with wedge lintel and C20 door, a large 12/18 sash to
the right and another above, both with raised sills and the
lower with a wedge lintel, and a small 3/6 sash at first floor
to the left; and a rendered gable wall with one small 6-pane
window on each floor.
No.70 has an altered double-fronted shop window at ground
floor and one 12/18 sash window above. Gable chimney to right,
ridge chimney at junction with No.72 adjoining to left.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms group with Nos 72-86 adjoining to left (qv), and No.53
(qv), No.55 (qv) and No.57 (qv) opposite.
