Verandah attached to shop fronts. 1893, altered. By Mellor &
Sutton. Cast-iron and glass. 7-bay colonnade; cast-iron
columns (also serving as downspouts) with splayed feet on
cylindrical pedestals, annular enrichment to the shafts, small
Composite caps, squared stilts, foliated open-work brackets,
plain fascia beams and moulded gutters; former dentillation
and cresting now missing; curved glass roof except in the last
one-and-a-half bays which now have a single-pitched roof.
Part of the series of verandahs which characterizes this
street. Nos 601-617 not included.
