Verandah attached to shop fronts. Probably early C20.
Cast-iron and glass. 4 bays. Cast-iron columns with flared
pedestals, plain shafts, square volute caps, panelled stilts
with guilloche enrichment, scrolled open-work brackets with
wheel motifs. The first 3 bays with fringes to fascia beams
which are otherwise covered by C20 fascia boards, the fourth
bay with a moulded fascia lacking the fringe and a moulded
gutter with cresting; curved glass roof.
Forms group with Nos 535-563 adjoining to left (qv); part of
the series of verandahs which characterizes this street. Nos
565-571 not included.
