Pair of houses. Probably late C18 or very early C19; altered
and extended. White painted render on brick, graduated slate
roof. Single-depth plan, one unit each, plus a small front
wing added to No.21.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. No.23 (the right-hand of the pair) has a
square-headed doorway to the right with a small window to its
left, a C20 3-light oriel at ground floor to the left and a
shallow 3-light casement immediately under the eaves.
No.21 (the left part of the pair) has a 3-light casement with
C20 glazing at ground floor, above this a window of similar
width heightened into a flat-roofed dormer in late C20; late
C20 single-storey gabled wing to the right. Ridge chimney at
the junction.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms a group with No.19 to the left (qv).
