Pair of headstones with footstones. 1827 and 1845. Limestone headstones with shaped heads and inscriptions in upper case with serifs and with elaborate initial letters. Smaller segmental headed footstones with initials C.A. and C.E.A. Set on paved base. Marks the graves of Cassandra Austen [1739-1827] mother of Jane Austen, and of Cassandra Elizabeth Austen [1773-1845] Jane Austen's elder sister.
