Former cottage hospital, later used as boys'club. 1868; by George C. Haddon of Malvern; altered 1891. Brick polychromy, red brick with buff-coloured and blue brick bands and details and granite basement. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends and crested ridgetiles. Brick axial and gable-end stacks with set-offs. Metal ventilators with conical tops on ridge.

PLAN: Pavilion plan with central entrance and flanking male and female wards; raised on service rooms in the basement.
High Victorian Gothic style.

EXTERIOR: Single storey and basement. Symmetrical 1:3:1 bay south front , the taller centre three bays projects with central pointed arch doorway with Gothic fanlight, plank door and gabled timber canopy on brackets, approached by flight of steps with iron rails; segmental-headed windows to left and right; flanking wings set back with large pointed arch windows with pierced stone tympanae in gables; two-light sash windows without glazing bars. Gabled rear elevation, the larger centre gable with pointed arch window with stone tympanum, the recessed bays between the gables infilled in 1891.

INTERIOR: Plastered entrance hall and axial passage has pointed arches and quarry tile floor. Lofty wards. Chimneypieces removed. Wrought-iron balustrade to basement stairs. Simple fireplaces in basement, one with iron grate.
