Gas standard. Designed in the late C19, possibly cast as late
as early C20; converted to electric light in late C19 or early
C20. Cast-iron and another metal. Square base which chamfers
to octagon; ornamented with horizontal reeds. Tapering shaft
treated as clustered columns terminating in a bell capital.
Single maintenance arm. Gothic Revival style. The timing
mechanism above, marked BLEECO, forms a base for swan-neck,
tubular bracket. The latter is braced by a metal fillet in the
form of tendril. Shallow dish reflector.
