Terraced house. c1820. Stucco, roof obscured by parapet.
4 storeys over basement, one-window range to Cannon Place,
2-window range to Russell Square. Ground floor decorated with
banded rustication; flat-arched entrance with overlight in
enclosed porch to Russell Square; to Cannon Place, which is
really the principal front, there is a segmental bay to
ground, first and second floors with flat-arched tripartite
windows, those to the first floor being French windows giving
onto a replacement bracketed balcony; cornice to second floor;
tripartite window to third floor, secondary cornice; in
Russell Square the first and second floors are framed by
incised patterns having the effect of pilasters and a
segmental pediment; segmental window to left of entrance; and
3 blank segmental-arched windows to right in single-storey
screen wall; flat-arched windows above to first and second
floors only and all blank except for easternmost first-floor
window; parapet swept up at centre.
