GV II*

Former farmhouse. Date 1619 on a stone on the east wall of the
house. This house runs northwards from the back of Down House
(qv), so that together they form an L in plan. Random flint
with brick dressings, roof of tiles. The present entrance
front faces west and is of 2 storeys with dormers and 5-window
range. Segmental-arched entrance in C20 porch to right;
ground-floor windows flat-arched and presumably much enlarged;
upper windows segmental-arched; red brick quoins and dentil
cornice; ridge stack. INTERIOR: not inspected.
