Villa, now 2 dwellings. c1848-1856 with later additions and
alterations. Pinkish-yellow brick with painted and scored
stucco to front facade, Welsh slate roof and cast-iron
verandah. Central hallway plan.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Plinth, alternately
vermiculated quoins. 2 roll-edged steps to central entrance a
part-glazed, part-panelled door with cambered overlight in
plain reveals with alternately vermiculated Gibbs surround.
1/1 sashes with margin-lights and sills in tooled surrounds
throughout, larger to ground floor. Continuous first-floor
sill band projects below windows. First-floor windows have
Venetian blinds and blind boxes. Hipped roof, end and rear
stacks. Continuous verandah to ground floor has double-scroll
motif to uprights.
To left return, first floor, blind box and blinds remain.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Forms an architectural group of villas with Nos 12-18 (even)
and 22, 24 and 26 Avenue Road (qqv).
