Villa, now flats. c1824-1836 with later alterations.
Pinkish-brown brick with painted stucco facade, Welsh slate
roof and cast-iron balcony.
2 storeys with basement and attic, 3 first-floor windows.
First floor has 6/6 sashes. Cornice, low parapet with central
pediment containing 3/6 sash. Copings. Ground floor: 6 steps
to central entrance a recessed 3-panel door with overlight
within distyle Roman Doric porch with plain Doric engaged
pilasters, frieze, cornice. End stacks. Balcony above porch
has circle-and-anthemion motif. Small 6/6 sash to right gable.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Portland Place was laid out in 1823-1824.
