Terraced houses. c1825. Stucco, roofs obscured by parapet.
EXTERIOR: Nos 48 & 49 three storeys over basement with attic
and one window range, No.50 enlarged to 4 storeys, 2-window
range. All windows flat-arched. Steps up to round-arched
entrance with fanlight, that to No.50 framed by an architrave
with Doric pilasters and wreaths to frieze, to No.49 similar
but without wreaths and having a panelled door of original
design, and that to No.48 having only floating cornice
remaining. All 3 houses have full-height segmental bays with
balconies to the first floor; tripartite windows to Nos 49 &
50; sashes of original design to No.49, first floor (6 x 9
panes to the centre, 4 x 6 to the sidelights) and second floor
(6 x 6 to centre, 4 x 4 to sidelights), and to No.50, the
ground floor with 6 x 6 to the centre, 4 x 4 to the
sidelights, the rest as for No.49. Fragments of wreathed
cornice on all 3 houses over the second-floor windows;
subsidiary cornice over third-floor window of No.50;
flat-arched dormers to Nos 48 & 49.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Cast-iron railings flanking steps to all 3 houses with halberd
finials and gadrooned standards.
