House. C18 with C20 alterations. Coursed squared limestone
with brick wing; steeply pitched machine tile roof with
rendered brick ridge and end stacks. L-plan.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys plus attic; 5-window range. Pedimented
centre has approx central entrance with Doric doorcase with
attached columns, triglyph frieze, guttae and pediment to
half-glazed door. Windows to ground floor have 2-light
small-paned casements flanking entrance, 3-light small-paned
horizontally sliding sash to right end, all with timber
architraves, and 2-storey C20 bay window to left end; first
floor has 2 horizontally sliding sashes flanking 6/6 sash, all
with timber architraves; 3 gabled roof dormers, one with
small-paned casement, 2 with small-paned horizontally sliding
sashes.
Right end has C19 brick wing with return entrance with
architrave and scrolly brackets to hood, fanlight with radial
glazing bars to half-glazed panelled door; 2-light small-paned
casement to right and segmental-headed early C20 casement to
first floor.
Front has C20 entrance to Moreton House Cottage and
segmental-headed 3-light casement to first floor. 2-storey
wing to rear.
