3 houses. C17 with late C18 addition and extensive c1990
restorations. Timber-frame with plastered infill on brick
plinth; brick to left; gabled old tile roof. Rear chimney
flues. 3-unit plan, that to left a brick addition.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. Doors and glazing are late C20.
Timber-framed part has pair of entrances to centre (Nos 40 and
42) with plank doors and canted bay window to right, all under
hipped pentice; large window to left; brick part has entrance
(No.44) with plank door, and canted bay window to left, both
under hipped pentice. First floor has 3 C20 gabled dormers
with 2-light casements. Timber-frame has storey-height panels.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
No.40 was listed 02/08/72.
