GV II

Threshing barn and stables. Barn probably early C18, stables
to right mid C18. Timber-framed barn with pinkish-brown brick
nogging and pinkish-brown brick stables, with gabled
plain-tile roofs.
EXTERIOR: 3-bay barn with single-bay stables. Barn has large
square panels of timber-framing, central plank doors to
threshing floor. Timber-framing to gable ends and to rear.
INTERIOR: cross-posts remain to threshing floor; roof has 2
collar-and-tie-beam trusses with lower angle struts, 2 tiers
of original purlins and ridge piece. Stable has opening to
right with remains of plank door under elliptical arch;
dentilled eaves band.
Forms a group with The Old Moat House (qv).
