House. Late C16/early-mid C17 with later additions and
alterations including gable-ended range to left and extension
to rear mid C20. Small timber-framing with arched braces and
close-studding with painted plaster infill and reddish-brown
brick ground floor and plain-tile roofs.
EXTERIOR: single storey and attic and 2-storeys; 3-window
range. Off-centre entrance in C20 porch has a plank stable
door. 3 metal casement windows to upper floor.
INTERIOR: extensive exposed timber-framing. Chamfered beams to
ground floor ceilings with ogee stops. Inglenook fireplace to
original left end with bressumer beam with massive chamfer to
inside. Remains of a queen-strut roof with exposed purlins and
rafters which appear to be smoke-blackened. Some board doors.
