House, at one time a public house. C18 with C20 restoration
and additions. Red brick laid to Flemish bond; thatched roof
with renewed tile to rear and left end, and brick stack to
rear of ridge and end stack. Baffle-entry plan. Late C20
addition to left end.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic; 3-window range. Top
modillioned brick cornice. Entrance off-centre to left has
overlight to 6-panel door with 2 glazed upper panels; timber
lintel and lean-to canopy. Window to right of entrance has
brick flat arch over 8/8 sash; flanking large canted bay
windows, rebuilt in late C20, have 3 8/8 horned sashes; window
to left end has brick flat arch over 8/8 sash; attic has 3
eyebrow dormers with 2-light small-paned casements under wood
lintels.
Rear has C20 large gabled range and single-storey flat-roofed
addition to rear.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
