House. C16, restored and enlarged C19, following a fire.
Limestone ashlar; slate roofs with stone cross-axial stacks
and end stacks. Double-depth plan with cross wing and service
range to right.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3-window range. Cross wing breaks forward
to right. Chamfered plinth; continuous labelmould over most of
ground floor. Entrance in re-entrant stone porch with
4-centred arch has half-glazed door. Ground floor has
1:3:1-light C19 canted bay under hipped roof to left, and 2-
plus 2-light recessed ovolo-mullioned window with labelmould
to right; 1st floor has 2- plus 2-light mullioned windows
flanking tall cross-mullioned window; similar 3-light attic
window to gable; all have labelmoulds.
Right return has wing with small catslide outshut and 2 stacks
with brick diagonal shafts; double-chamfered mullioned
windows. Left return has gables with end stacks and wide
verges.
Rear has entrance to right of cross wing with 3-centred head
and half-glazed door, small chamfered light to right; wing has
2- plus 2-light window to ground and 1st floors, and 3-light
window to attic; ground floor right of entrance has 3-light
and 2-light windows, 1st floor 3-light half-dormer and 2- plus
2-light window; labelmoulds.
Service wing has 2- plus 2-light window to left of entrance
and dressed stone single-storey wing.
INTERIOR: noted as having original staircase and fireplaces.
