2 cottages, now one, formerly the Post Office. C17 with later
alterations. Timber-frame with plaster infill; coursed lias
limestone to ends; steeply pitched thatched roof with brick
end stacks. 2-unit plan; right half is later addition with
slight backward break.
EXTERIOR: single storey with attic; 2-window range. Ground
floor has 2 pairs of windows with C20 and older 2-light
casements flanking smaller 2-light window. Raking dormer and
eyebrow dormer have 2-light small-paned casements with iron
opening casements and wrought-iron casement fasteners.
Left return has some brick repairs and 2 tiny first-floor
lights; right return has a small C20 window to first floor.
Rear has large brick wing with raking dormers to hipped roof
and entrance.
