3 houses. C17 with later alterations and additions.
Timber-frame with painted brick infill on blue lias rubble
plinth; steeply pitched renewed tile roofs with brick end
stacks and stack to rear of ridge. 3-unit plan plus C18 taller
one-unit addition to right.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic, rising to 2 storeys;
5-window range. Segmental-headed entrance to left of centre
has panelled door and bracketed segmental canopy; entrance to
right of centre has C20 plank door. 7 varied windows with
small-paned casements to ground floor mostly of 2 lights, that
to left end is C19, the rest C20. Attic has one brick gabled
dormer to left of small window, two C20 gabled weatherboarded
dormers, and window to right end, all with 2-light small-paned
casements. Square framing, that to right end more regular.
Right return rebuilt in brick in C20; left return has brick
rebuilding retaining wall studs and timber-framed gable, and
has attached single-storey wing, reputed to be C19 Methodist
chapel, with tie beam over paired half-glazed doors and
battened door; modillioned brick cornice and 2 transomed
casements; cast-iron flue with stays.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
