GV II

House. C17 with C20 alterations. Timber-frame with rendered
and painted infill on rubble plinth and painted brick rear
wing; steeply pitched tile roof with brick end stack and stack
to rear of ridge at right end. 3-unit plan.
EXTERIOR: single storey plus attic; 3-window range. Entrance
approximately central has C20 stable door. Ground floor has 3
windows with renewed small-paned casements. Attic has 3
renewed gabled dormers with 2-light small-paned casements.
Square framing with braces to wall plate; small triangular
section of exposed wattle infill above brace to right end.
Left return has exposed wall studs and gable framing; external
stack with small first-floor window to left.
Right return adjoins Bridges Cottage (qv).
Single-storey rear wing has top modillioned brick cornice,
entrance with C20 stable door, C20 small-paned casements and
cross-axial stack.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
