Includes: Lych gate and churchyard wall including postbox to
Church of St Peter CHURCH LANE.
Churchyard wall and lych gate. Date uncertain, probably C17;
lych gate is c1970 reproduction of C15 original. Coursed
rubble with ashlar, and timber-frame with tile roof. Lychgate
of 2 unequal bays, open timber structure on rubble plinth,
with cusped braces and gabled roof; paired and single slatted
timber gates. Wall extends approx. 30m west from lychgate and
extends approx. 80m to east and follows line of Church Lane
round to north side of church, incorporating small north gate;
gabled coping. Wall post box with monogram: V R to corner of
Church Lane. The churchyard wall was not formerly listed.
