House. Dated to C15 with C16 addition to left; later
alterations. Brick with some internal timber-frame; thatched
roof with 2 brick stacks to rear of ridge. 3-unit plan
altogether.
EXTERIOR: single-storey plus attic; 2- plus 3-window range.
Part to left has entrance to right end with split door to
pegged frame and hipped thatch canopy; 2 windows to left have
small-paned casements with iron opening lights, eyebrow dormer
with similar 4-light casement. Part to right: entrance to left
end has split door in pegged frame; 3 windows, the central one
with 2-light C20 small-paned casement with 3-light casement to
left and 2-light casement to right, both with iron opening
casements. Eyebrow dormer has tile sill and small-paned
casement.
Right return has segmental-headed window to each floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected, but recorded as having timber-frame
and cob inner walls, exposed beams, substantial remains of
cruck truss and 2 fireplaces with bressumers; some old doors
with strap hinges.
