House with shop, now offices with shop under. c1800. Brick
with stone dressings, all colourwashed, roof not visible.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 2 bays. Mid C20 shop front to ground
floor, with deep angled fascia, two doors in deep splayed
recesses on left, first floor has 2-light casement windows
with full-width toplight, second floor has 12-pane sash
windows, all set under 5-voussoir flat arches. Coping to wall
appears to be a former cornice to a higher parapet. Bracket
for hanging sign between second-floor windows.
Rear elevation has one 12-pane sash. The throughway is stone
paved, with a stone gutter.
INTERIOR: modified at ground-floor level, with stairs
relocated, a cast-iron column to a cross-beam retained. In
front first-floor room a ceiling cornice and a C19 fireplace,
stairs to second-floor retains some C19 balustrading, and some
second floor doors of c1800 pattern.
