HOPE BAGOT

SO57SE Rectory including stable block

GV II

House. Late C18-early C19. Brick with stone rubble rear walls.
Hipped and gabled slate roofs. Brick end stacks. L-shaped plan
of main front range with rear cross wing.
EXTERIOR: south front is a 2-storey, 4-window range. Main wall
with 6/6 sashes with brick segmental-arched lintels at ground
floor. Range interrupted with later projecting 2-storey
entrance bay with one 2/2 sash with stepped hoodmould at first
floor, over bracketed flat canopy and restored panelled door.
Brick coped gable with octagonal brick finial blocks.
Brick and tile stable block to right.
West side of rear wing: 2-storey, 2-window range of 6/6 sashes
with brick segmental-arched lintels at ground floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
