Farmhouse now house. Early C17 with late C19 extensions.
Painted timber frame with painted brick and rendered infill
panels. Plain-tiled roof, with C19 bargeboards and finials to
gables, slate roof on C19 addition. Central ridge stack with
C19 brick shaft. L-shaped plan of 3-bay main range with
single-bay cross wing to rear, C19 infilling between wings to
rear, extensive late C19 range adjoins to rear (north).
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attic. South front with square framing
4 panels high with straight tension braces at each end of each
storey. 3 C19 casements at first floor, C19 casement to left
of plain doorway with later gabled porch, C20 bay window with
pentice roof to right.
End gables with square framing 4 panels high with pair of
straight tension braces to each storey. Gable trusses with
straight tie beam, twin collars and vertical struts. C19
casements each floor; right-hand gable with later raised eaves
and rear pitch, C20 conservatory covering ground floor;
left-hand gable with bay window with pentice roof at ground
floor.
Cross wing side (west) with square framing with single
multi-pane casement, ground floor covered with hipped tiled
lean-to extension.
Rear (north): to left the main range is covered by 2-storey
C19 addition. Right cross wing gable end with framing as for
main range gables and covered at ground level with hipped
tiled lean-to extension, and with casement at attic level
only.
