Loom shop, now house. Late C18, restored late C20. Coursed and
roughly coursed millstone grit with tooled ashlar dressings,
stone slate roof and stone stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storey and 2 storey. Garden front has 4 windows
arranged 2:2, with 3 storey block to right and blind single
storey outbuilding to left. Central 2 storey block has doorway
to left with C20 door and to right two 3-light flush mullion
windows and 2 similar window above. Right block has two
3-light flush mullion windows to all 3 floors.
Right return, 2 storey plus garret, has doorway to left with
C20 door in flush ashlar surround and single 3-light flush
mullion window to right. Above former central taking-in door
now partly blocked with 2-light casement, and to right 2-light
flush mullion window. Above again 2 single garret windows.
Left return rendered with archway.
Street front has inserted C20 fenestration with off-centre
doorway under ashlar lintel with adjacent single light window
and two 3-light flush mullion windows to all 3 floors. 2
storey section to right has catslide roof to projecting left
section with two C20 windows and set back right section with
C20 door and single 3-light mullion windows to each floor.
Outbuilding to extreme right substantially rebuilt C20.
INTERIOR: much altered.
Loom shop originally reputed to contain up to 30 looms.
