Former wing of Centre Cliff House (Nos 1 & 2 Centre Cliff,
South Cliff (qv)); now separate house. 1829; subdivided and
rebuilt at rear in 1949 following war damage; C20 conservatory
extension. For Rev Thomas Sheriffe. Gault brick with hipped
slate roof and two panelled stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey 3-bay entrance and garden fronts
articulated by pilaster strips. Entrance front has central
doorcase of fluted Doric pilasters with entablature and
fielded 6-panel door under 6-vaned fanlight: to left is
single-storey conservatory. Windows are 6/6 unhorned sashes
with rendered and painted skewback arches, those to right on
both floors being blind.
Garden front has central glazed door with margin glazing under
rendered and painted skewback arch. First-floor window
developed into French doors, opening onto cast-iron balcony.
Remaining windows as on entrance front.
