House. Mid C18, altered. Facade of handmade red brick in
Flemish bond with sandstone plinth and dressings, left gable
wall and rear of coursed sandstone rubble; slate roof.
Double-depth double-fronted plan. 2 storeys and 2 windows,
almost symmetrical; with a high chamfered plinth, rusticated
quoins and 1st-floor sillband. Doorway, offset left, with a
set-in wooden doorcase, board door, plain overlight and plain
rectangular lintel (probably C19); 2 large rectangular windows
on each floor, all with wedge lintels incorporating real
keystones, and all now with C20 9-pane glazing; eroded
rectangular stone plaque on centre of sillband. Left gable
wall partly rebuilt with brick at the apex. Rear altered.
INTERIOR not inspected, but noted to have features of
interest. Forms group with No.706 adjoining to right (qv).
