GV II

Attached house with former cottage and outbuildings, front
garden wall, piers and gate. Mid C18. Whitewashed render to
rubble walls, rubble to outbuilding, random coursed rubble to
wall; ashlar copings, pantile roofs and gable end rendered
stacks to main range; limestone piers and plank and
wrought-iron gates.
PLAN: double-depth plan.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey; 3-window range. Symmetrical facade set
below pavement level with central doorway. Windows are 12-pane
sashes in plain reveals with sills. Part-glazed early C19 door
with flat stone hood on brackets.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: single-storey attached outbuilding to
right-hand end with gabled roof and plank gateway to
right-hand end. Low attached front garden wall with ashlar
copings, piers square on plan with pyramidal caps and simple
wrought-iron gate with spear-head railings.
The building forms part of a row which steps downhill to the
south-east and has group value with Nos 14 and 16 (qqv).
