SS91SW Patcott Farmhouse

Farmhouse, Probably early C17. Rendered cob; slate roof with
projecting eaves and verges; brick end stacks and brick axial
stack towards left. 3-room and cross-passage plan, later
extended at rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; overall 4-window range. 3-light casement
windows with glazing bars in wide openings, 4 of the windows
old, the others C20. 2 gabled porches: 1 towards left, the
other central to the fenestration right of this porch and with
wide doorway with C18 or C19 6-panel door.
INTERIOR: partly inspected to see late C16 or early C17 cyma
and ovolo-moulded crossbeam in the central room (the presumed
original hall) and boxed-in axial beam to left-hand room. The
roof structure is described as being contemporary with the
slating of the roof, probably late C19 or early C20.
