House with shop. Early C19 rebuilding of earlier structure.
Rendered over rubble with slate roof and brick stack.
3 storeys; 2-window front. Mid-late C20 windows in original
openings. Bracketed eaves. C15 doorway; local purple stone
forms roundheaded arch with hoodmoulding and capstone ends.
Arch is supported by moulded imposts with stops and capitals.
Mid C18 door is 2 leaf with each leaf having 6 fielded panels
and glazed pointed arch at top.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
This building particularly notable for its its medieval
doorway, which was supposedly transported from a demolished
building in Fore Street.
