Railings to Maudsley Hospital


Railings. Early C20. Footings of aggregate, simply chamfered,
with metal uprights which are paired and take the form of
columns in socles, each with an urn above the upper rail;
braced to rear by curved strut. Intermediate uprights square
in section with obelisk top. Brick pier terminates left, or
north range; pair of brick piers with ornamental gates to
right, or the south.
