Tomb chest. Dated 1823. Stone. Plain inscription panels.
Enclosed by iron spearheaded railings, the corner uprights
terminating in smouldering urns, 2 of which are missing.
Marked D on plan, located towards centre axis, just west of
Soanean canopy tomb.
The burial ground, which was consecrated in 1616, was unusual
in not being adjacent to any church or chapel.
The monuments form a group with the C18 gates, walls and
railings to Dulwich Old Burial Ground (qv).
