Estate office and farm cottage. 1865, for William Nicholson of Basing Park. Flint with red brick and tile-hung dressings. Clay plain tile roofs with gabled ends. Brick lateral and axial stacks with set-offs. PLAN: No.3 is mirror-image of No.2 Home Farm Cottage. L-shaped on plan with stair tower in the angle and estate office attached to SE. Gothic style. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical elevations with gabled cross-wings; large 3-light wooden mullion windows with segmental arches to ground floor and pointed arches on first floor with tile-hung tympanae. Stair tower in the angle with pyramidal roof, lancets and porch in the angle. Estate office attached to SE; single storey, large 3-light mullion-transom window in gable end. INTERIOR not inspected.
