House. c1736-77 with earlier, probably C17 range to rear. Ashlar over brick with concrete tile roof, end and ridge stacks. Palladian style. EXTERIOR: central 3-storey, 5-window range with 2-storey, 2-window wings. Centre has moulded stone architraves and sills, central pedimented breakforward with long and short chamfered quoins; main range has outer pilasters. Crowning cornice and parapet. Wings have chamfered quoins and windows with tooled architraves and moulded sills; parapets ramped up to ends. Central entrance: flight of roll-edged steps with flanking low walls to 6-raised-and-fielded-panel door within eared architrave and cornice on brackets, now with C20 glazed porch. Ground floor has 1/1 sashes, otherwise replacement casement windows. Basement in chamfered plinth has 2-light mullion window at right. INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery and plasterwork.
