GV II

Walls, railings, gates, gate piers and lamp-overthrow. c1820-32. Cast-iron railings with pinkish-brown brick walls with ashlar copings. L-plan. Boundary balustrade has scrolled lozenge motif. Pedestrian gate has arrowhead railings. Then arrowhead railings with anthemion-capped standards surmounting wall, for approx 5m to gate piers, gate and overthrow: piers have scrolled lozenge and peaked caps with urn finials, scrolled overthrow with square lamp bracket. Central double gates with arrowhead bars; then similar stretch of low wall with arrowhead railings. Boundary balustrade abuts No.19 (qv). A significant streetscape feature forming an integral part of the setting for No.19 (qv).
