Terraced house and attached railings. c.1820-50. Ashlar over
brick with double-pitch slate roof, left end brick and stucco
stack; wrought-iron area railings and iron balcony.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and basement, 3 first-floor windows.
Entablature over first floor and crowning entablature. 6/6
sashes where original, all in plain reveals and with sills.
Entrance to right, flight of roll-edged steps to
5-fielded-panel door (the lower 2 panels flush) with
sidelights and overlight with decorative glazing bars.
Basement has 3/6 sashes.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railings have scrolled lozenge
motif, similar to party border at right. Continuous
first-floor balcony has Carron Co. double-heart-and-anthemion
motif balustrade.
Abuts No.9 Carlton Street (qv), with which it forms one block.
