Farmhouse and attached farm outbuilding. Mid C18 with C20
alteration. House of brick, the front of whitened rendering,
the rear roughcast with smooth stucco surrounds to openings;
stone plinth; slate roof with two whitened stacks. Farm
building of whitened brick with asbestos cement sheet roof.
EXTERIOR: house of 2 storeys, basement and attic; 4-bay front.
House has 6-panel door with bead and flush lower panels and
raised and fielded upper panels in externally moulded doorcase
with overlight. Windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars,
wedge lintels, stone sills on ground floor, sillband on first
floor. Rear: house has 6-panel door and sash windows.
Farm building is of single storey with loft and 4 bays. 3
doors and 3 windows on ground floor; loft has 3 round pitching
eyes and breathers arranged in diamond patterns.
INTERIOR: house has stone flagged hall floor, 6-panel doors
throughout, simple ceiling cornice. Staircase with stick
balusters and landing with concave front.
Interior of farm building was not inspected.
