House, now office, and attached area railings. c1820-34.
Stucco over brick with concealed roof; wrought- and iron
railings and verandah.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement, 4 first-floor windows.
Stucco detailing includes ground-floor rustication; incised
second-floor band; entablature over 2nd floor and crowning
cornice with blocking course. 6/6 sashes with 3/3 to second
floor and 3/6 to basement; those to ground floor in wider,
segmental-arched recesses; those to first floor in tooled
architraves, those to 2nd floor have incised Greek key
surround. Flight of 8 roll-edged steps to 6-panel door with
margin-lights and cambered overlight with batwing and circle
type glazing bars in segmental-arched recess.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: area railings have spearhead bars and
dogbars with urn finials. Stick railings to sides of steps.
Verandah has roundel and heart to balustrade and double scroll
motif to uprights; openwork frieze.
