Villa, now flats. c1840-50. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof, tall stucco stacks with cornices. Double-depth plan with central hallway and service range to rear. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows; with 2-storey service range. Central full-height breakforward. Stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication to ground floor surmounted by quoins to angles through first and second floors; moulded second-floor band; wide eaves on brackets. 6/6 sashes to ground and first floors, 8/8 sashes to second floor, all in plain reveals, those to ground floor are taller and have blind boxes, those to first floor have tooled, eared architraves and aprons; those to second floor have tooled architraves. Central entrance in solid single-storey porch with paired Doric pilasters and entablature with surmounting pierced balustrade; round-arched opening with tooled head on imposts and with keystone and recessed, double, panelled doors; to sides of porch are round-arched windows with stained glass margin-lights. Right return: 2 storeys on basement, 4 first-floor windows. Breakforward at left. Similar stucco detailing. To left a 2-storey on basement bow. Mainly 6/6 sashes, those to second floor are 8/8 sashes, all in plain reveals; those to ground floor mainly with blind boxes; those to first floor in tooled and eared architraves with panelled aprons; those to second floor have tooled architraves. The bow window at first floor has tall 6/6 sashes throughout, curved on section, 6 altogether. Wide eaves. INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery and plasterwork. HISTORICAL NOTE: part of The Park development. Occupies a corner site at the junction with The Park.
